Even Clemson fans have to admit that was a dry game with not a lot of excitement. It’s not a big deal, all teams have those games where points are hard to come by. The only thing that matters is the W, but yes those games aren’t that fun to me to watch. I think what everyone realizes at this point, if you haven’t already, is that Clemson is a very vanilla team without Watson. Stout has regressed I think since week one.

The SC\Auburn game was a great one to watch. Pay for the whole seat but you’ll only need the edge type of game. I’ll take the boring game with a W over the exciting forth quarter loss anytime.

Stoudt is playing very poorly but he’s really not getting time to make the reads and go through his progressions. The O-line is in horrible shape with all the injuries right now. 6 starters are out at present. I’m not sure they’re going to be able to keep from pulling the RS off a few of these players and getting them some reps.

CRM, you better go look at the stats the Clemson D is putting up before you run your mouth about them. That run D is just nasty and the pass D gets better every week. They did a crap job the last 10 min against Jawjer, true, since that time it’s been nothing short of impressive. Sakkerliner won’t sniff 40 on that defense, fact. And MD won’t get close to 100yds either.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Clemson didn’t get steam rolled until the 4th quarter when the defense had been on the field for the whole second half. Georgia only had 45 yds rushing in the first half and had 117 by the start of the 4th. They then gave up 222 in the 4th because they couldn’t hardly stand up anymore. I blame that loss squarely on the offense. If they would have just moved the ball in the second half, it would have been different.

Auburn’s defense sucks. Carolina hasn’t played a good defense yet, and when they do, it’ll get ugly.

UGA hardly ran the ball against Clemzzzon in the 1st half. Gurley had 4 rushes in the 1st half. Do you orange and purple people not pay attention? Gurley and Chubb averaged 13 yards a carry. That defense is stellar:wink: Who has a good defense that the Gamecocks have left on the schedule? Certainly not Clemzzzon. Save this post and we can say I told you so when we find out who is right:smiley:

At the end of the day you play the cards that you’re delt. A full house only beats 2 jokers if it doesn’t fold. Clemson has not folded in the last 5 games, and has played with a weaker hand most of the season. Speaking of hand, Cole Stoudt is the best medicine that Watson could ask for. Stoudt is taking the hits, taking the abuse both on the field and off while the phenom gets healthy and Clemson keeps winning. 2 talented wide receivers getting more game experience, and it shows. Gallman gets his 100 yd. game, and he’s feelin’ it. Humphries is the most overlooked player in the State of SC, and straps up for every game. A couple more games and that track guy will be hitting on all 8 cylinders, and Morris will find a way to get him the ball in open space, and that’s not even counting what happens if the tight end gets healthy. This offence will get better while the D continues to dominate. 7-1 in the conference is looking possible, and a warm weather bowl game waiting in the wings. I’ll take that hand all day long.

It’s impossible for Clemson to not have a nice season. They dominate the ACC in recruiting. That is a guaranteed 8 to 9 win season almost every year. The ACC is Clemson and the last couple of years FSU has come back up. After that the conference falls out of any quality football conversation. Remember when Cam Newton’s Auburn team played the Mighty Oregon Ducks for the national championship? Oregon came in averaging 56 points a game. They managed 19 points and lost 22-19. Why were they averaging 56 points a game? Because they were in a weak conference. Same example can be used for Clemzzzon and their defensive numbers. They played UGA and got plowed. Nobody else(ACC) has any offense close to what UGA had. The gamecocks have a great running attack and better than UGA passing attack. Good luck keeping USC out of the end zone. You have a better chance of scoring 45 points and winning 45-42.

Most of the SEC can’t play defense this year which is why the cocks are averaging a bunch of points. Don’t fool yourself.

USC scored as many points against Furman as they did Auburn and other SEC teams.

But I would suspect that the defense you see in the SEC shuts down ACC offense. Except for the gamecocks…they couldn’t stop The Citadel this year.

Its great entertainment

Yep, statistically Clemson has a great defense. Too bad they have really only played 2 teams with good offenses (and one of them was without it’s staring, Heisman QB). It will be interesting to see what happens when USC’s O meets Clemson’s D.

outside of UGA, teams playing Clemson score 17 points less than their average.

What does that tell us?

Tells you exactly as I stated. Look who they played to get that average. Clemson is leaps and bounds above everyone in the ACC except FSU....According to DABO you would win 5 out of 10 against them but still didn't beat them when their Heisman QB didn't play.

let me guess Clemson would be bottom rung in the SEC East this year…right?

This is too easy.
