I guess this how douche bags make a living these days. Scam honest hard working people that honor, support, and respect our military personel. Is there any way to go after this person legally. There are several members on thehulltruth that are lawyers in Florida and are usually willing to work for free in circumstances like this. I’ll do a little checking around.
Thanks Flatcalm, I am not pissed so much about the money as I am that it was a scam (so it appears so far) regarding Wounded Warriors.
I’m with you, Glenn. It’s not the money for me…it’s the fact they misrepresented themselves as supporting our heroes. I would rescind all remarks if they would simply honor their commitments …including not only refunds or perks, but especially the events for the wounded warrior cause.
For me personally as a fundraiser…this stinks big time…and gives us all a bad name. My organization takes a lot of pride in the fact that we use less than 4% of the funds generated for all our operational needs.
Sorry to see you guys had the same problem with WWFF as we have here in Florida.
I’m putting a list together for the Fl.Dep. of Law Enforcement. They have a cyber crimes unit. Anyone that wants to get on my list can contact me by e-mail.
I only have a couple so far. The higher the money amount the more serious the charges.
I’m not sure what his intentions were at the start this thing, I’m sure now he’s hoping to stay out of jail.

I figured this was a front for a scam. I know most of the military funds and I asked all my buddies and no one had heard of this guy. I appreciate that ya’ll thought you were donating to a good cause; sorry, that it was taken. There are several events legit organizations do around here throughout the year. I will try to post when these come up. As far as this Eric Webber guy - there is another link on another fishing page with a guy by the name of “Lee” claiming he is the true founder and that Eric has disappeared; just a FYI.

I’m a regular on Florida Sportsman Forums . I found WWFF there. Like you guys I got tired of waiting for my perk. I’ve spent days looking for anything on the web about this guy. With his e-mail and phone number down and indiegogo saying how’s your happiness I was at my ropes end.In the last couple days I found your site and another one (sportfishermen.com). I had to register with both in hopes of getting help tracking him down. I posted on both sites. I guess the threat FDLE struck a nerve.
At sportsfisherman I got a major response, not from Eric Webber but from someone named “Lee”. Claiming he was the head of WWFF. He sent me an email through their site. Reads as follows;
Think you better go back to Sportfishermen.com Forum and catch up on what is really going on, then get back to me. Also, feel free to tell Charlestonfishing.com to get back to me as well as I do not have log in information for that site to respond to them. I AM THE REAL CREATOR OF WWFF…Lee
Guys I hope this helps get your money back. As you’ll see I found them first and yours an hour later. Page 2 is where it gets good. Says he has refunds for everyone. That he’s been misunderstood. Not his fault, the other guy did it. Bunch of BS if ya ask me.

I think it’s funny that you claim you donated but I have no record of you donating for anything. Secondly I am not scared of FDLE or your threats as I personally haven’t done anything wrong. Until I posted on this site there was no other way of contacting WWFF.

The only thing I got wrong was the number of campaigns on indiegogo.
Ah, but indiegogo has blocked all your campaigns so I couldn’t get the exact number.
I never attacked you, never made threatened you, no one has seen your name till you responded to my post.
I did contact FDLA, they said they would investigate.
But I didn’t start this ****. I leave that to WWFF and the people responsible for it.
The fact that you have stepped up… maybe there’s something say for you.
Still until I see refunds or perks delivered to people I talked to, I’ll just have to wait and see.
