as Clemson could have been #1 otherwise. Oh well, we will see how things shake out from here.
Nah, Bama would be #1 either way. They are the defending champs. Looks like we are #2. For now.

Bama has like 13 defensive touchdowns this year. Kinda hard to vote against that.
First, Most, Biggest
bama has beaten (at the time) #20(USC), 19(MISS),16(ARK),9(TENN) and 6(Ta&m)
CU has beaten (at the time) #3(UL) and 12(FSU)
#1 or #2 - really doesn’t matter…as long as in the top 4 !

So B8, at what point this season do you transition from talking about the rankings when played, vs. current rankings? Or does it just go back and forth like the wind and your logic?

I think #2 is a good spot. Love the Tigers, but I don’t see them touching Bama if they played today.

Really?? Don’t believe all the media Bama worship BS. They can be beat. They may get beat this weekend.

And Clemson should have lost to N.C. State.

Down here is where a signature goes but they can confuse and anger some people so I don’t have one.
If a bullfrog had wings…But, WOW! Still number 2. Really painful
I kinda hope Clemson gets Wash and Bama takes on Michigan in the playoffs…I don’t think anyone wants anything to do with Michigan though…dem boys is goood.
Washington won’t make it through.

Now. all we have to go on is what has happened to now. which is what the playoff people use.

Who’s going to beat them?
They whipped the best team on their schedule already.
USC and/ or Washington State or in the Pac 12 championship. Too big a gauntlet with a target on your back for a good but not great team
Washington State is the tough one to get through.

Washington took Stanford to the woodshed and Stanford beat USC didn’t they?
I haven’t’ watched Washington state this season…
An we beat AU one year and you didn’t and then you beat us in the final rivalry. EoY rivalry games are a different animal. I think maybe the year we both played Georgia that happened as well.
You can’t go by they beat them, and we beat that team, so we should win easily.

quote:I don't believe they're unbeatable, but Clemson's not playing up to their full potential. FSU had 111 yards just in penalties. Clemson should have taken them to the woodshed.

I love using this logic:
Clemson beat Auburn, who beat LSU, who beat Ole Miss, who beat Georgia, who lost to UT, who lost to the Gamecocks, therefore Clemson and South Carolina are even…
