Lets get these predictions out the way.
The line somewhere around 5 points.
I think USC has a very small chance(because on any given day…) to win. Only thing is that we haven’t seen much of a run yet, so not really sure how that is going to work out. I predict Gurley to have a HUGE day.
It won’t be close.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Their secondary sucks. If your OL can hold up (unlike Clemson’s in the 2nd half) and Huston has time to pass you guys might have a chance.
But I think Gurley, Marshall, and Chubb are going to wear you all down like they did with Clemson.
UGA 34
USC 24
To be fair UGA beat a Clemson Team that isn’t that hard to beat. Tough to get a a good reading on them in one game.

With that being said, The Gamecocks need to get better on defense. Coverage and tackling especially.Lots of confusion on the defense before the play the past2 weeks. Guys not knowing what they need to do. I think the game is closer then some of you expect it to be. We won’t see 35-7 again this year.

yup Fritz, defense is hurting us and I think Gurley is gonna slice us up like swiss cheese along with our secondary. Gonna be a long game. Clemsons game though will be longer than ours.

If its tough to get a reading on UGA after one game…how can you get a reading on Clemson then?
Yes we played two games but beating a D2 team by 70pts does not say anything.

Clemson’s game is so short this week it’s nonexistent.
UGA showed a lot on defense in the second half of the Clemson game, they turned on somewhat. Lack of execution on offense hurt Clemson’s defense too. Like it or not, the SC defense isn’t very good, Mason will throw at will on them especially if Ward stacks the box to help the run game. As soon as he drops back to help in coverage those backs are going to chew the chickens up.
Sakkerliner can consider it a success if they keep the game within 3 scores.

How many losses will it take you to change jersey’s? Got a new favorite team picked out yet or are you going with whoever has the hot hand? Oregon seems to be fashionable now.

You are much better at trolling than that Fritz.
Odds makers aren’t in the business to lose money. I wouldn’t count on a blow-out. You will see Carolina at the peak of emotional readiness Saturday, whereas Georgia just needs to find a way to win. Looking forward to an entertaining game.

I’ll be there cheering on the Gamecocks, but realistically having watched all three games from these teams this year, I think Georgia will win by three touchdowns. I hope I’m wrong.
I hope we have an incredible defensive plan and UGA underestimates us, that’s the only way this stays competitive to the end. SC needs to be within a touchdown going into the forth to have a chance… and Mike Davis has to have a record day.

Why? They’ve won one game at home. Clemson’s offense was trash in the second half and left their defense out to dry.
USC’s weakness is in the secondary, not between the tackles. There are six very good DTs on that team, and the linebackers are as deep as anybody around. You’ll see a heavy rotation of Dixon, Surrat, Lamin, Griffin, Greene at DT, the other Dixon will hold one DE and David Johnson will see snaps over English at the other DE spot (because he’s much bigger). Put Diggs at the spur, keep the LB’s fresh and USC has a perfectly reasonable strategy to slow down UGA’s running game. I’m not out of my mind or anything – they won’t stop UGA’s running game. But they realistically have the talent to make Hutson Mason throw the ball. If Hutson Mason lights it up, well, I can live with that.
On the other side of the ball, USC will have to establish the run and not turn it over. Not easy, but certainly not out of the question.
I think UGA is the slightly better team, but I definitely don’t get the UGA love for winning a game as an 8-point favorite at home with a team that just lost Boyd, Watkins, Bryant, and McDowell.
I watched all three games that Georgia and South Carolina have played in this year.
Georgia is a much more well rounded team right now.
South Carolina cannot get penetration beyond the LOS when on Defense. I think it’ll be an easy day for the Dawgs. I hope I’m wrong.

Interesting stats.
And did you know Georgia hasn’t topped 20 points in Columbia in 20 years? They also haven’t thrown a TD pass at Williams-Brice in a decade. Amazing stats.
More amazing: They’ve won five times over that stretch with point totals of 20, 18, 17, 14, 13.

I’m pretty sure both of these stats will change Saturday. Have you watched the Sakkerliner secondary play this year?
