I will be ready to go either way. I do think we need to make the final decision ASAP so if we are not going Saturday people can make other plans if need be. Other wise I’m prepping everything to go with the exception of getting bait at this point. I just don’t fish Folly so I have no idea whether we will have sand to work from or will be cut off from traveling. Worst case scenario we will have to wait for a little while tide goes out. Holding for now, but ready.
It sounds like meeting early will not be a good idea for this area. We can change the time to noon or 1 o’clock if that works for everyone. If not, we can switch the date to next Saturday.
If yall meet at noon then the tide should down enough to spread out. That whole end has good fishing and there should be a good bite coming off the cold front and supermoon tides. They renourished in front of the green tree where d park circled but im pretty sure its all washed out. To the left of that water hits the houses for a long ways. I know the big rays run at the last of the outgoing before low tide. It should be good. I would go but i pulled something in my neck and need to let it rest.
I think you should try to do several of these this year. At least a summer and a fall.
Hey guys, I’ll try to come out too.
Sounds good. Noon sounds good to me. If everyone is fine with the time change, we will still meet on Saturday.
Excellent fish camp is on:smiley: James If high tide is around 10:30 and we are talking about fishing around 12 give or take. It would be good to arrive before that. It will take about 30 minutes to organize and walk down the pavement. Give an hour for the seminar part talking/ get rigged up and then hit the beach around 12:00. If we plan on doing those things it would be a good idea to meet around 10-10:30 am. That way we can get to fishing as soon as the tide will let us, and at the same time we won’t be left with a long period of waiting for the water to go out. James I did up 10 copies of “cliff note” packs for the new folks that are just getting started. It’s 4 pages of covering just the basics thats a good start from A-Z. Look forward to seeing everyone, hopefully we can find a few fish. Somebody PM Mr. Parker and tell him to bring us some of dem lucky peanut M&M’S:smiley:
Thanks, Pete. Can’t wait to learn and fish with some top notch surf guys.
Tide has to be really in, fished out there high tide many times last year with zero issue but it is a spring tide so we’ll see. They also replenished the beach late last year. I’m headed out there early, going to try to scrounge some bait before everyone gets there. Also thinking about bringing my yak to drop some deep baits deep if anyone’s interested. Let me know.
Well James then you better fish with MR.PARKER:smiley: I’m a good organizer and hard worker, but truth be told I have allot to learn. James If Nuzzy is correct the original time you had of 9:00am was about right. If we need to sit for a little thats fine, it will take some time to get everyone together, parked, organized, travel, do the meet and greet etc… James you ok with 900 am?
See you guys at 9am

I have fished there alot even at the super tides. Never have a been forced off the beach but it has gotten within about 10 feet from the dunes.

Masaaki we are meeting at the cul de sac at 9:00 am. If you come at 10 we may have already made our way down to the beach. If you don’t see us walk straight down the paved road. You will see the signs.

Chad should be a few folks around to help with pointers. Glad to see you on board. Just keep in mind the fish have to show. One thing we can’t control, but if they do someone will find them. Could be you:smiley:
