Watson...

breaks the all time single game passing TD record in his first start. Regardless of the competition that was impressive.

His runs look effort less, extremely accurate, throws an amazing deep ball, and throws on the run well.

Going to be fun watching him for the next 2.5 years.

What would he have done if the O-line was worth a crap? Probably not as much, because the running game would work and he wouldn’t have to be throwing it every down. The kid looks amazing, no doubt, but that line has got to get better, or he will get hurt.

“regardless of the competition” at least you know the deal.

This is the best part. The competition was a conference game. Tied for 2nd in the coastal (look it up, it is meant to be funny)

Like I said before that kid is good, but then someone also told me stoudt was better than Boyd.

Missouri is not good and they lead the sec east.

Who said that stoudt was better than Boyd?

Ok. Missouri is not good but they are somehow ranked in the top 25. Ahead of Clemp5on.

Ole salty did.

It is to early in the season to determine who is good and who is not.
You could look at it as
Clemson lost the UGA who lost to USC who lost to missuo who lost to Indiana who lost to Maryland

Because they have 1 loss but surprising they are ranked considering the Indiana loss. Sec bias maybe?

Fish, I hear ya, and in summary as of now, we are all above average but not good teams.

Missouri is not a good football team right now. The east will be represented by Georgia likely.

Give the Clemson coaches a few more games and they will coach his talent level down for him. Then Dabo will convince him to stick around an extra year costing him millions.

When did I say Stoudt was better than Boyd? I said they were (**() close last year. Stoudt still isn’t a bad QB but Watson has come on better than anyone expected. The way some of you try to spin things, you sound like democrats.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Watson is a stud, no doubt but, he set a record against a team that allowed 70 points the week before. I am sure more records remain for that young man but records set over UNC should be taken with a grain of salt.

If only the OBC could get get his hands on such talent… The offensive guru can’t get 1 yard with 1:36 left on the clock (NICE!) I wouldn’t blame that on Thompson. No one was open, and the defenders got their hands on the ball all 4 plays. Again, pitiful.

Didn’t realize volleyball season tickets were so affordable… Those girls can score anytime they feel like it…

Been thinking about this. Over the past 100 years Clemson has played many teams just as bad or worse defensively.

Tajh Boyd did many times but still ever threw for 6 TD’s and that many yards…only one other ACC QB has done that in the history of the conference and the ACC has the best QB history…so should we really take it with a grain of salt?

Just thinking out loud and looking for thoughts.

PS he leads the country in yards per attempt and 3rd for completion %.

And before I hear about SEC defenses go look at the score boards from the SEC games this year. I don’t see many great defenses like years past.

hey…be nice…I dated one of those VB girls for 3 years while at Clemson and went to almost every game. The team was hot back then and the spandex is the best.

When ECU hangs 70 on UNC, yes you have to take it with a grain of salt.
How many D1 teams have given up 70 points

Sugar…nevermind

No helmet sticker from Lou. Wonder why?

The freshman sensation continues to live up to the hype as a spectacular playmaker for the Tigers. Watson notched a 400-yard game in his first official collegiate start, completing 27 of 36 passes for 435 yards and six touchdowns. Although Watson tossed an interception on a poor decision, the rookie bounced back to drop several dimes that will have NFL scouts salivating over his immense talent and potential. With a young, explosive crew of pass catchers around him, Watson could be the premier quarterback prospect to watch over the next few seasons.
