Wow!! Edisto Fishing Pier is coming!!

You fishing or hunting in that shot?

Catfish

The Mako is going into the shop for a lot of work shortly. New electronics hard top and wireing. hopefully it will be ready for the fall bite. If you see me over there walk on over some time. Which house is yours?

Ed82, Is mud creek a difficult place to be at low tide? Do you have good water… and can you get out of the creek back to the big water at low tide?

At low tide you can run mud creek back untill the 1st fork and getting in and out of the creek at a low tide is no problem. You can go farther at low tide but if you dont know the creek it might get a little tricky. We use to ski back there as kids so there is plenty of water for a little while. At high tide you can take a left at the fork in the and go a good ways back.

Please tell me that this Holliday Inn Express is a joke![:0]

I do not think that we will ever see a “hotel” on Edisto Beach. Now, we may see one on the Island in the next century:smiley:</font id=“Comic Sans MS”></font id=“size3”></font id=“blue”>

Yes, the restuarant, bar, and arcade is open. The fishing pier is still set to open next year as far as I know.

I’d like to have a moment of silence…to mourn the loss of the Old P.O. No more Carolina ribeyes, ultimate filets or fussed over pork chops. It is a travesty…a travesty, I say.

I saw the P.O. was closed a couple weeks ago, whats up with that? Sad to see ole time places close up.

Who knows if its closed for good or not. David cant make up his mind on what to do with it but with Phillip Barton gone theres no way it will be as good.

It’s dead as a doornail!

Here’s the info I know- the pier is to be built in the fall around the harvest moon- water is lower. Where did I get my info- Jack and Johnny who run the bar down at the pavilion, the sons of the family that bought the pavilion. They got a nice thing going there now.

Was down there for a week of fishing, had a couple of good days and one horrible day with 6ft swells out there on the offshore edisto reefs- ■■■■ what a ride that day even in our 26 footer. Hope to be back soon.

Has anybody been to the resturant there and if so how is it?
We will be down on 9/11 - 9/14 and plan to eat at the Waterfron and maybe at Sunset.

Plantation Grill is the best eatery on Edisto.
Also drive 20 minute to Hollywood and the Firehouse is a great place to eat!

Bo Bo is Edisto’s Bar-B-Que also known as Bo-B-Que. He has the best bar-b-que sandwich I have ever tasted.</font id=“Comic Sans MS”></font id=“size3”></font id=“blue”>

Great Meals This Past Week
Hey Guys,
I just wanted you to know that I just returned from a 3 night stay on Edisto and had some great food while there.
We went over to Waterfront the first night. Service was poor but they put on some good food. Big ole prime rib covered in grilled shrimp.
The second night was at Sunset Grill. OK seafood platter that I could not enjoy because of the smoke coming from the bar where 2 loud drunks were having a good time.
The third night I took your suggestion and went to Dockside. After all of these years of driving by that place I finally stopped. We had the Edistew and wonderful service. I will be back. A big thank you to whoever suggested it.
The surf fishing was slow with a few Whittings and sharks. The beer was cold and the people we met were wonderful. Those of you who live there or near there are lucky.

Captive to work in the upstate,
